WhatsApp is constantly updating its mobile and desktop apps. Instant chat messaging apps are now rolling out status updates within chat for desktop users.Previously, when desktop users wanted to see a contact’s status updates, they could click[ステータス]I had to click an option. However, with the new feature, a status update green circle/ring appears in the chat option and when the user clicks on it, the status update will be played back on the app screen.
As you can see in the picture below, you can now easily check if your WhatsApp account has this feature enabled. If you see a ring around your profile picture in chat, you’re receiving updates. If this feature is not available for your account, please keep your version of WhatsApp up to date to have the feature available in the next few days. So, if your ring is showing up in chat, just click on your profile picture to see your status updates.
WhatsApp is also reportedly working on a picture-in-picture feature for video calls. Thanks to this feature, a user can use other applications while making a video call with her WhatsApp. In another development, WhatsApp is also working on adding 21 new emojis that will be released in the next few days.
WhatsApp is also developing a lock screen option for future updates for WhatsApp Desktop beta users, according to the WABetaInfo website, which tracks upcoming WhatsApp features. You will need your password to log in. This feature is especially useful if you share your PC with others.
