However, according to some reports, WhatsApp is working on a feature to send photos to each other in high quality and original format on the platform.

User submits photos in original quality

According to a report by Wabetainfo, WhatsApp is now allowing select users in its latest Android beta update to choose the quality of their photos before sending them to the platform. This feature allows users to send photos in high resolution or original quality.
