vPoco C50 Launched As Rebadged Redmi A1+ In India. Features, Specs And More

Handset maker Poco launched the Poco C50 in the Indian market on Tuesday. The budget smartphone is a rebadged version of the Redmi A1+ launched in the country a few months ago. The main highlights of the budget hadset include dual cameras, a large battery and a dedicated fingerprint scanner.The Poco C50 is priced at under Rs 10,000 and is the successor to the Poco C40 which launched globally last year. Samsung also has a new budget smartphone called the Samsung Galaxy F04, which he plans to launch on January 4 in the country to rival the Poco C50.

As mentioned, the Poco C50 is a rebadged version of the Redmi A1+, so it has the same leathery texture on the back and features a square camera module. There is a dedicated fingerprint scanner on the back. There are two color variations, country green and royal blue. The Poco C50 is priced at Rs 6,499 for the 2GB RAM + 32GB storage model and Rs 7,299 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage model. The device will be available on e-commerce site Flipkart from January 10th. The company offers a one-year warranty on the phone and a six-month warranty on the included accessories.

The Poco C50 has a 6.52-inch HD+ display with 400 nits brightness, 120 Hz touch sampling rate and a waterdrop notch. The resolution is HD+ and the refresh rate is 60Hz. The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset and is paired with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Internal storage can be expanded up to 512GB via the microSD card slot. In terms of images, there are 8MP dual AI cameras on the back and a 5MP selfie camera on the front. The Poco C50 features a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. The device runs Android 12 Go Edition. Other features include single speaker, Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n, Bluetooth version 5.0 and 3.5mm audio jack.

Meanwhile, according to Flipkart’s teaser, Samsung’s low-end phone set to launch in the country will cost less than Rs 8,000 (base model). The Samsung Galaxy F04 will also feature dual rear cameras like the Poco C50 and come in his two colors of Opal Green and Jade Purple.

The South Korean tech giant also revealed that the Galaxy F04 will run Android 12 out of the box.
