Twitter removes Tweet origin device labels like ‘for iPhone’ or ‘for Android’; Netizens mock Apple users – Details Inside
New Delhi: Twitter has finally removed the ability to see which device a tweet came from. Previously, users could publicly see at the bottom of every Tweet whether it was created from an iPhone, Android, or the web. You will no longer see origin devices with new platform changes starting today. However, the time and date will still be published.
Tech billionaire Elon Musk previously said he was working to remove the ability to verify the origin of tweets. The update that Elon Musk welcomes by saying “Hallelujah” has finally arrived.
This update is retroactive in nature, so all previously made Tweets will not show the device the Tweet was sent from.
Netizens make fun of iPhone users with memes
With the new update, Apple iPhone users won’t be able to modify their iPhones as they won’t be exposed to Tweets. Netizens are making fun of them with sarcastic memes.
