OnePlus May Launch Its First Android Tablet In India Soon. What We Know So Far

Handset maker OnePlus may be working towards an Android tablet launch in India, as the OnePlus Pad is currently being privately tested in India. According to some reports, the OnePlus Pad could be announced alongside the OnePlus 11R in India, codenamed ‘Aries’. With the launch of his rumored OnePlus Pad, OnePlus joins smartphone makers such as his Oppo, Xiaomi and Redmi, who already offer his Android tablets at different price points.

According to a MySmartPrice report, the upcoming OnePlus tablet (aka OnePlus Pad) has been internally tested for the local market and could hit the Indian market soon. The first Android tablet by OnePlus is sometimes called the OnePlus Tab. The first OnePlus Android tablet could debut in Japan alongside the OnePlus 11R in June this year, the report adds.

The report also noted that the upcoming OnePlus tablet could launch in the budget price segment and, albeit with some changes, could draw inspiration from one of Oppo’s tablets.

If you remember, the Oppo Pad Air was launched in India last July with a starting price of Rs 16,999 for the base 4GB + 64GB storage variant. The Android tablet was also launched with a 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model for Rs 19,999. Presented in a single color variation of gray.

The Oppo Pad Air launched with Android 12 based ColorOS 12.1 for the pad and features a 10.36 inch display with a 60Hz refresh rate. The display has a pixel density of 225ppi and a maximum brightness of 360 nits. This tab is powered by an octa-core 6nm Snapdragon 680 chipset paired with an Adreno 610 GPU and up to 6GB of his LPDDR4x RAM.

The Oppo Pad Air also came with a 7,100mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The battery is said to offer up to 15 hours of video talk time on a single charge. , has quad speakers supported by Dolby Atmos for a surround sound experience. The tablet weighs 440 grams.
