OMG! ChatGPT clears MBA exam – Read details

New Delhi: Now that ChatGPT, an AI-powered chatbot, can write essays, emails, plays, poems, anything, and do it in different tones and styles based on commands given. We all know that we can pass the test, but it has a serious drawback. The chatbot’s performance on the MBA exam was recently evaluated by a professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, one of his top business institutions in the world.

Christian Terwiesch asked ChatGPT about a key MBA topic: operations management. He discovered this and pointed it out in his research article. First, he found ChatGPT to be “great” in answering basic operations management and process analysis questions. Even if it was based on a case study. Terwiesch observed that ChatGPT not only provided a “good” explanation, but also answered the questions accurately. Changing responses in response to human commands is also he one of ChatGPT’s strengths. (Also read: IT Layoffs 2023: Nearly 3000 employees will be laid off every day in January.)

According to Terwiesch’s research, “Chat GPT3 was able to self-correct after receiving acceptable advice from a human expert when it failed to match a problem with a suitable solution approach.” However, chatbots also had some drawbacks. Terwiesch observed that ChatGPT occasionally produced “surprising” errors in school-level mathematics. “These errors can be very large,” the professor continued.

He went on to say that ChatGPT cannot handle the more difficult questions about process analysis. The instructor said that the chatbot received a grade of B to B based on its performance on the test. In discussing ChatGPT’s potential impact, Terwiesch suggested that it could be comparable to the impact of computers at work.
