Microsoft Teams is Back Online After Suffering Major Outage

Microsoft Corp’s MS Teams app faced a major outage Wednesday afternoon, with thousands of users reporting they were unable to access the Teams app. Downdetector.com, a website that tracks outages through various sources including user reports, showed that he had nearly 2000 incidents of people reporting problems with Microsoft Teams in India. Other Microsoft services attacked include Microsoft 365, Outlook, GitHub, Teams, and Azure.

Microsoft has tweeted that it has received reports from its official handles that users are unable to access or utilize features in Microsoft Teams. The company also said it was investigating the issue.

According to Downdetector.com, Microsoft Teams has been experiencing issues since 12:30 PM IST.

Meanwhile, Microsoft posted its slowest revenue growth in more than six years in the December 2022 quarter. A $1.2 billion hit after laying off 10,000 people amid sluggish PC sales worldwide.

Revenue was $52.7 billion, up 2%, while net income was $16.4 billion, down 12% for the quarter ended December 31.

“More Personal Computing” revenue was $14.2 billion, down 19%. Windows OEM revenue was down 39%, Xbox content and services revenue was down 12%, and device revenue was down 39%.
