Google’s latest Android 13 update for Pixel devices brings new emojis

SAN FRANCISCO: Technology giant Google has released the Android 13 QPR (Quarterly Platform Release) Beta 2 update for Pixel devices. It includes several bug fixes and also provides Unicode 15 emoji support.

According to SamMobile, the beta update adds 21 emojis, ranging from new animals to many other characters.

This update introduces new animal emojis such as donkey, moose, goose, jellyfish and wings.

Additionally, the blackbird will replace the existing bluebird, according to the report, and the update will also add ginger, hyacinth and pea pod emojis.

New color hearts of pink, light blue, and gray are also included.

The list of new emojis adds a trembling face, a right pushing hand, and a left pushing hand, and these hand emojis are available in a variety of skin tones, the report said.

Other emojis include fan, hair pick, flute, maracas, kanda, and wireless.

These new emojis won’t show up in Gboard yet, but users can copy and paste these new emojis available in the Android 13 QPR Beta 2 update, the report added.

Meanwhile, the Android 13 update also brings the Personal Safety app, previously exclusive to Pixels, to more phones.

The Personal Safety application for Google Pixel smartphones now includes several features designed to ensure users are prepared for any kind of disaster strike.
