SAN FRANCISCO: Twitter, owned by Elon Musk, has increased the price of its Blue service for Android users. Individuals must pay $11 per month.
The Twitter Blue plan starts at $8/month or $84/year in the countries where it’s available and gets early access to features plus a blue checkmark.
According to the company’s help center page, “All Twitter Blue features will be available immediately, except for the blue checkmark, which means that the subscribed account’s review meets all requirements.” It may take some time before it is displayed for confirmation.”
Blue ticked Twitter Blue features give subscribers ways to enhance and customize their Twitter experience, including custom app icons, custom navigation, top stories, undo tweets, and long video uploads.
Twitter Blue plans are currently available for web, iOS, or Android in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and the UK only.
The company “reserves the right to remove blue checkmarks without notice at any time in its sole discretion without providing refunds, including if you violate our Terms of Service or your account is terminated.” says.
The microblogging platform also said it is also piloting a new service called Twitter Verification for Organizations, a service for business entities on Twitter that adds gold checkmarks to their official business accounts.
